Raheem registered with Our Newham Work in July 2018. After completing his college studies, he wanted to pursue work based learning to continue studying but also gain work experience. His advisor saw that an apprenticeship would be the best option for him.

To succeed in an apprenticeship application, Raheem needed to improve his CV and hone his interview skills. Raheem’s advisor helped him to develop his CV and present his studies and skills in the best way possible for an apprenticeship application. She also helped Raheem polish his interview skills “They invest a lot of time into making sure you are well prepared for a screening or interview. They have helped me to build my interview skill set” says Raheem.

Raheem was successful in his application and succeeded into a Level 2 Business support apprenticeship with Newham Council. After completing this Raheem succeeded into a Level 3 apprenticeship with Newham as a Junior Analyst. Raheem is highly driven and wanted to work part time alongside his apprenticeship to earn extra money. Our Newham Work helped Raheem secure positions with Levi Roots, Smoke House, TK Maxx and Flipout.

Following his apprenticeships with Newham Council, Raheem worked closely with his Our Newham Work Advisor to help him secure his next career move and he is now working as a Recruitment Advisor with Aspers Casino.
